What’s on in Portsmouth and Southsea this August
Portsmouth and Southsea are home to our serviced holiday accommodation, and we have so many great events happening every month here! We want our visitors to see the best of the South Coast when visiting our holiday apartments in Portsmouth and Southsea, so we’ve compiled some things to do this August.
Vintage Vehicles
The charity event ‘Beach Dubbin’ will be happening on the 7th from 10 am to 4 pm on Southsea Common. There will be food and various forms of entertainment, alongside a showcase of vintage vehicles of a fantastic variety. If you fancy a tour of the city, you could join the upcoming Vintage Bus Tour, where expertly preserved vintage buses give a tour of the town. On August 21st, you can hop on a vintage bus from Clarence Pier in Southsea for a fab tour! The buses will be departing at 35 minutes past each hour from 11.35 am. Rides are free of charge, and donations are welcome.
Victorious Music Festival
From the 26th to the 28th is the Victorious Music Festival, hosting a wide variety of different musical acts alongside plenty of food options and much more. You can find more information on ticket prices and attractions on the Victorious website.
We have two apartments left to book for the festival, so make sure you book quickly to avoid disappointment. If you are looking for accommodation for the Victorious Festival, we have availability a stone's throw away at our fabulous apartment, ‘Luxury on the beach’ that has a balcony with stunning sea views, an ensuite shower room plus a main bathroom and benefits from private, secure parking.
We also have availability at our newly refurbished apartment, ‘Between the Beach and the Shops’, which sleeps five and has private parking, a shower room and a main bathroom.
If you aren’t around for Victorious, other music events are going on in August, with bands like the ‘Villagers’ or the ‘Brave Rival’ at The Wedgewood Rooms.
We’ve also got 80s Mania on the 19th at 7:30 pm, recreating many chart-topping artists from the 80s at The King’s Theatre and Pompey Punk N Roll party at South Parade Pier.
Foodie Heaven
